Getting to Chapelfield
By Park & Ride
Norfolk County Council operates six purpose built Park & Ride sites, more than any other UK city. The sites are located around Norwich’s outer ring road on the main routes into the city centre (A11, A140, A47, A1151).
The Park and Ride sites are located at:
Airport
Postwick
Harford
Costessey
Sprowston
Thickthorn
All Park & Ride services stop at Norwich Bus Station from where Chapelfield is just a hop, skip and a jump away. Leave the bus station via Surrey Street and turn left onto St Stephen’s Street. The St Stephen’s entrance to Chapelfield is just minutes away. Please note that the Airport, Postwick and Sprowston services stop first at Castle Meadow but they continue on to Norwich Bus Station. Stay on for the best stop for Chapelfield!
In total the Park & Ride sites offer 4912 parking spaces and frequent bus services into the city, providing an easy and efficient alternative to driving. The colour coded buses and routes make the service even easier to use. Last year more than 3.4 million passengers used Norwich’s Park and Ride.
Use of the Norwich Park and Ride service is charged per vehicle not per person which also makes it excellent value for money. The daily charge is £3.30 per vehicle, or only £1.60 per vehicle after 12:30*.
